Everybody Deserves, #Groupsof10

Participation Part 1

There is someone you know that has done something that few people know about.  They have acted in a way that shows awesome self-sacrificially love toward another. This person has made a difference in someone's life and has not been recognized.  Let's recognize them!

1.  What did they do?
2.  Who did they do it for?
3.  What impact did it have?
4.  Why did they do this thing?

Participation Part 2

1. Plan an event with at least 9 other people.  Find someone who can take a video of the event - nothing fancy, of course, just something that will record the presentation.
2. The event (planned or surprise) will bring together people who know and wish to recognize someone who is a true hero, who is unsung and is an example for all of us to follow.
3. Contact Sandals and a Stick to coordinate the delivery of the Everybody Deserves congratulatory artwork.
4.  Have a great time at the party and send us the video for publication.

Participation Part 3

For as long as possible (without donations)Sandals and a Stick will provide the artwork that is shown below with the bright red background.  This includes shipping to the address of your choice in the continental USA.  Eventually, we are hopeful that "Groups of 10" will get together and help with this cost, but for now, investment is worthwhile as we acknowledge the generous people in our lives.

Our Heroes

“Then again, maybe that’s kind of the point. Maybe the truth is, I’m really not so ordinary. Maybe if we knew what other people were thinking we’d know that no one’s ordinary, and WE ALL DESERVE A STANDING OVATION AT LEAST ONCE IN OUR LIVES. My friends do. My teachers do. My sister does for always being there for me. My dad does for always making us laugh. And my mom does the most, for never giving up, on anything. Especially, me. It’s like that last precept Mr. Browne gave us. Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle. And if you really want to see what people are(?),  ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOOK.” Auggie Pullman after receiving the Henry Beecher Medal, Movie: Wonder, 2017
